IntelliSense has announced the latest major release of its software tools for the MEMS community, IntelliSuite v8.9. The new software version includes major updates for the end-to-end design and simulation package. IntelliSense made its initial announcement at the recent Hilton Head 2016 conference in Hilton Head Island, SC, USA. Now, all IntelliSense customers will have access to the new software version. Some of the new features in IntelliSuite v8.9 include: DRIE Simulator Calibration: The ARDE (Aspect Ratio Dependent Etching) or lag effect are normal phenomenon during DRIE. With IntelliSuite Cleanrooms Calibration tool, users can quickly view photorealistic results using physics-driven simulation. Nonlinear MEMS Simulation: ThermoElectroMechanical (TEM) includes new analysis methods for dealing with nonlinear MEMS systems. Robust process model meshing: By using FabSim and MeshManipulator, users can now simply and quickly mesh their final processed model. Once the process simulation is completed, the user can customize the mesh for the entire model or an extracted submodel. The final meshed model will automatically open in TEM for multiphysics simulation.
