Rostelecom Waits For Higher Price For Sale Of Quasi-Treasury Shares

Public Joint Stock Company Long-Distance and International Telecommunications Rostelecom (MISX:RTKM) is not ready to sell quasi-treasury shares, kept on the balance of its unit, OAO MobiTel and is waiting for the stocks to grow in price on the market, President, Sergei Kalugin said. Sergei Kalugin said, "Such talks are being held all the time. I want to say that, probably, the current price of the stake is not fair enough. That is why, strategically, we should wait for the moment when our shares will cost more."

RDIF Reportedly Eyes Stake In Rostelecom

Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) is looking at acquiring a share in Public Joint Stock Company Long-Distance and International Telecommunications Rostelecom (MISX:RTKM), said RDIF’s Chief Executive Officer, Kirill Dmitriev. The fund is talking about the feasible pact with Arab investors. The state-claimed share in Rostelecom is valued more than RUB 41 billion, might be proposed to the new investors, a source familiar with the matter. This share is presently held by OAO MobiTel. Mobiltel claims 15.06% of common shares and 30.79% of preferred shares Rostelecom.

Mobitel Reports Earning Results for the Third Quarter Ended September 30, 2015

Mobitel reported earning results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2015. For the quarter, revenues fell by 29% to USD 15 million and EBITDA dropped by 50% to USD 3 million. Capital expenditure rose to GEL 11 million from GEL 10 million a year ago.
