The Direct Marketing Association announced the appointment of Lindsay Hutter as senior vice president of communications. Hutter will lead company's overall communications and public relations strategy. Based in company's Washington, DC office, she will serve as a key senior executive in accelerating the growing momentum of company's modernization, bringing the full impact of strategic communications to support membership and advocacy programs, as well as building awareness and regard for responsible data-driven marketing. Hutter most recently served as executive vice president and global practice leader for Change+Internal Communications for Hill+Knowlton, where she led the firm's worldwide work in advising clients on organizational transformation and stakeholder communications. Prior to that, she served as chief client leader for a wide range of companies. Before her tenure at Hill+Knowlton, Hutter was senior vice president of communications for the National Association of Convenience Stores, where she designed and led multiple reputation and issue campaigns for the industry.

Direct Marketing Association Inc. Announces Executive Changes

The Board of Directors of the Direct Marketing Association Inc. appointed Thomas Benton as Interim CEO/COO and Jane Berzan as Interim President. Benton and Berzan have both been intimately involved in leadingthe implementation of DMA's strategic plan as well as current initiatives and ongoing operations. Benton currently serves as chief operating officer and Berzan serves as senior vice president of programs, marketing and events. This transition follows Linda A. Woolley's announcement to resign her role as President and CEO. Berzan brings a wealth of experience from senior leadership positions at major trade associations where she had proven success revitalizing tradeshows and education programs, forming and growing strategic alliances, and developing member service initiatives that create new association revenue streams.
