Parasoft Announces Updates to its Process Intelligence Engine

Parasoft announced updates to its Process Intelligence Engine (PIE). As the brain of Parasoft Development Testing Platform (DTP), PIE enables organizations to quickly find and remediate application hotspots according to defined business priorities. This update includes the release of new intelligent logic-flows, called “PIE slices,” that leverage PIE’s unique post process analysis to quickly deliver actionable information to both managers and developers.

Parasoft API Testing and Service Virtualization Unveils New Approach to REST API Test Automation

Parasoft Virtualize 9.9, Parasoft SOAtest 9.9, and Parasoft Environment Manager 2.7 introduce a host of new capabilities that help dev/test teams rapidly create and evolve intelligent tests for continuous testing. The latest release of the Parasoft Continuous Testing solution includes: Technologies that provide fast, easy, and accurate ways for developers and testers to keep their JSON and XML-based test and service virtualization assets in sync with evolving API versions and test environment impacts. A set of features enabling teams to create REST API test and service virtualization assets faster and more accurately—including advanced automation for Swagger 1.0-2.0 and RAML. Instant, environment-based notifications that alert developers and testers to any test or service virtualization assets that are no longer in-sync with the current published version of a REST API.

Parasoft Announces Latest Release of Development Testing Platform

Parasoft announced the latest release of Development Testing Platform (DTP), which eliminates the business risk of faulty applications by consistently applying software quality analyses and practices throughout the SDLC. This release includes updates to the DTP server, as well as updates to the DTP Engines, which are the core static code analyzers for C/C++, .NET, and Java that work in conjunction DTP. The introduction of smart metadata, updates to PIE, and extended code analysis, bolstered by a host of additional features and enhancements enable organizations to: Stay in sync with the evolving code base and make incremental changes without having to run the full set of tests locally or wait for the server. As a result, teams can implement incremental changes to the code base and tests covering the code. Leverage multivariate analysis by combining output delivered from any open source or third-party code analysis or test tool (i.e., code metrics analysis, unit testing failures, static analysis violations, etc.). This enables to proactively expose application hotspots prior to release. Applying algorithms across analysis types reveals defect patterns and risks that dashboards simply can’t expose. By accessing disparate data via the open REST API, PIE identifies areas of the application that are under-tested, may need to be refactored, or represent the great risk to the business. Unlock data from reports or dashboards to understand how the data impacts the business and establish an ctionable remediation path. Automatically apply smart metadata to test artifacts so one can prioritize actions associated with the great risks. For example, if a test touches a critical part of the code, but the test is unstable, one can leverage PIE to perform stability analysis, assign a priority, and associate an action to that test.
