HARMAN International Industries Incorporated announced that it will expand its partnership with Brightstar Corp. Through the collaboration, HARMAN will deliver best-in-class wireless audio solutions to Brightstar's expansive network of mobile device manufacturers, operators and retailers. Following a successful three-year collaboration, including the distribution of JBL and Harman Kardon products to mobile operators & retailers worldwide, HARMAN will continue to work with Brightstar to launch the new JBL Duet headphones and Harman Kardon Onyx Mini wireless speaker, which will both be available via Brightstar channels in fall 2016. The JBL DUET BT headphones feature JBL Signature Sound with Pure Bass performance through 40mm drivers. With 16 hours battery life these new wireless JBL headphones allow users to stream all the music they like over Bluetooth from any smartphone or tablet. Brightstar Corp. announced that Emer Timmons has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer and President of Strategic Sales, effective immediately. After 20 years of tech & telecommunications experience, most recently with BT Group, Emer Timmons joins Brightstar Corp. as Chief Marketing Officer and President of Strategic Sales. She will be responsible for all aspects of marketing for the company from branding through to customer execution. In addition to marketing, Timmons will lead Brightstar’s customer-first initiatives and development of sales strategy and deals with carrier, retail and enterprise customers and prospects across Brightstar’s footprint of 100 countries.

Brightstar Corp. announced that Alan Eland has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer, effective May 2. Eland will oversee Brightstar’s Information Technology, service delivery and logistics initiatives, and will report to President and CEO, Jaymin B. Patel. Globally, he will be responsible for aligning all IT and service delivery platforms across the company’s six continents of operation. This is a critical role leading the functions at the foundation for Brightstar’s services to provide a competitive advantage for the company's carrier, retailer, device manufacturer and enterprise customers. Global operations, under Eland’s leadership, will strengthen and support Brightstar’s continued focus and investment in platforms that support company's services across the entire mobile device value chain such as supply chain, buyback & trade-in programs, forward and reverse logistics, financing and leasing, device protection and much more. He joins Brightstar from IGT Corporation (formerly GTECH S.p.A.), where he held several global and regional leadership roles over a 31-year career. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Global Services. Additionally, he previously served as COO of GTECH Americas, overseeing operations in North America and Latin America.
