Benenden inked £200 million healthcare deal with Bupa. Under the terms of the deal, Bupa will administer the Benenden Personal Healthcare product on behalf of the company and arrange local diagnostic and treatment services for covered members. Additionally, Bupa will also acts as the plan supplier for the Benenden Health Cash Plan products. Benenden noted that the deal will be helpful for its members, as they do not have to pay upfront for diagnostic services before seeking reimbursement. As per the agreement, Benenden will transfer its Health Cash Plan to Bupa. The policy offers additional cover for dental and optical treatments, among others.
Bupa Reportedly Seeks To Sell 200 UK Care Homes

The British United Provident Association Limited (Bupa) has put a “for sale” sign on 200 UK care homes as it grapples with cuts to government funding for the elderly and EU rules that come into force next year. Bupa enlisted Knight Frank, the property adviser, to run the auction, say people familiar with the matter. The sale will involve the transfer of about 20,000 staff to the new owner, they add. The decision to divest the homes comes amid widening losses in the sector and financial turmoil at the big operators, such as Four Seasons Health Care.
