British Utd Provident Assoc Announces Earnings Results for the Six Months Ended June 30, 2015
Aug 6 15
British Utd Provident Assoc announced earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2015. For the period the company reported revenues of £4,916.6 billion, underlying profit before taxation of £253.3 million, profit before taxation of £255.4 million, profit for the period of £202.9 million, net cash from operating activities of £453.7 million, capital expenditure of 161 million against revenues of £4,770.9 billion, underlying profit before taxation of £259.8 million, profit before taxation of £266.6 million, profit for the period of £212.5 million, net cash from operating activities of £542.9 million, capital expenditure of £138.4 million a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities remains strong, but has reduced by £89.2 million compared to the particularly high level of cash generated in the first half of 2014. This reflects the non-recurrence of significant receipts in the first half of 2014 from local government and the public sector. It also reflects lower cash flows in the first half of 2015 in Bupa Global following the re-pricing of a number of loss-making accounts, and the impact of the weakening Australian dollar and euro on Market Unit foreign currency operating cash flows.
