McCaffrey joins Alliant with a 20-year history of building strong client relationships, developing talent, and driving revenue in an array of business environments. Prior to joining Alliant, McCaffrey was Director of Sales with Aetna in New York, where he managed one of the company’s top-performing sales teams. He also directed financial planning, forecasting, marketing, recruiting, and the launch of innovative new insurance products. Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. has named Steve Sampiere as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). The 35-year technology veteran will direct a breadth of initiatives focusing on innovation, security, and facilities as the company expands its national reach and product offerings
In his new role, Sampiere will focus on furthering the company’s technology strategy and bolstering its security posture, while overseeing client-facing technology initiatives and facilities management. As Alliant’s CTO, Sampiere played a central role in transforming the company’s technology infrastructure amid significant organizational growth. His leadership led to integrated systems, enhanced data security, and standardized best practices across Alliant’s national network. This resulted in increased organization-wide efficiencies and the unification of many disparate systems and platforms. Prior to joining Alliant, Sampiere developed a diverse skill set working for firms inside and outside the realm of technology, including IBM, Callaway Golf, Intuit, and Peregrine Semiconductor. Sampiere takes the reins of CIO from Ilene Anders, who assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer in September 2015. Sampiere will continue to work closely with Anders on a wide range of corporate technology initiatives.

Alliant Insurance Services has announced a mutually beneficial transition of certain books of business from EPIC Insurance Brokers and Consultants to Alliant Insurance Services, including the customers of David Alvarado. David joins Alliant along with his team and will be based out of Alliant’s San Francisco office. Prior to joining Alliant, David was a Managing Principal of EPIC’s Construction and Real Estate Practice, the President of Pacific Coast Subcontractors Insurance Group and a founding Partner in HMSA Insurance Services. David has been involved in risk management consulting and brokering insurance placements for the past thirty years.
