The Kenan Advantage Group appointed Kirk Altrichter as Vice President of Fleet Services. In his new role, Altrichter will be responsible for the strategic oversight and alignment of KAG’s fleet services to include approximately 6,200 power units and 9,700 trailers. He is also responsible for equipment and parts procurement, building and property acquisition, and general and environmental maintenance. Prior to joining KAG, Altrichter held senior management roles with various transportation companies to include Gordon Trucking, Inc., Schneider National Carriers and most recently, Vice President of Maintenance for Crete Carrier Corporation. He has been in the trucking industry for over 20 years and has extensive experience in fleet services, operations and logistics.

The majority owners of The Kenan Advantage Group, Inc., Goldman Sachs Group, Merchant Banking Division and Centerbridge Partners, L.P. are reportedly exploring a sale or initial public offering, according to people familiar with the matter. The sellers may as soon as next month begins soliciting bids for Kenan while simultaneously preparing it for an IPO, the people said. Kenan could fetch up to $2 billion, including debt, in a sale, they said.
