Greenberg Gibbons Commercial Corp. and Solo Cup Co. Announce the Settlement of a Lawsuit

Greenberg Gibbons Commercial Corp. and Solo Cup Co. have settled a lawsuit filed over a dispute regarding a defunct energy plant on the site of the future Foundry Row development in Owings Mills. The energy plant powered the former Solo Cup factory. Greenberg Gibbons had avoided demolishing it while the rest of the factory was torn down. Solo Cup filed suit over the energy plant's equipment, which Solo Cup had leased through 2017. Because Solo Cup sold Greenberg Gibbons and Vanguard Commercial Development Inc. its former factory for redevelopment, the company had subleased the equipment to the new developers.

Solo Cup Closes Owings Mills Manufacturing Plant

Solo Cup closed its Owings Mills manufacturing plant, and it is being demolished to make way for a Wegmans-anchored shopping center being developed by Greenberg Gibbons Commercial Corp. The company is expected to remain in the Hampstead warehouse.
