Claro Puerto Rico announced that it has expanded the coverage and capacity of its 3G and 4G LTE networks. The company said that residents in eight cities in the north, east and west of Puerto Rico are now able to use the 4G LTE network. Claro said the expansion is part of a USD 1.5 billion investment in latest-generation mobile networks on the island.

Claro's 4G LTE network now covers Cayey, Ceiba, Hatillo, Guayama, Rincón, Río Grande, Patillas, Vega Alta and Vega Baja, joining Aguada, Añasco, Arecibo, Barceloneta, Fajardo, Humacao, Juncos, Manatí and San Lorenzo, as well as San Juan, Ponce, Mayagüez and Caguas.
