Etex Announces Board Changes

Etex S.A. appointed Caroline Thijssen, Guillaume Voortman and Paul Van Oyen as new members to its board of directors. In addition, three members left the Board: Marc Nolet de Brauwere, Amaury Pelgrims de Bigard and Philium bvba represented by Philippe Coens. Caroline Thijssen is Head of Talent Banking and Management Dynamics at BNP Paribas Fortis. Guillaume Voortman is Head of Finance and Administration at Tropicore - a trading company for tropical commodities, such as rubber. Paul Van Oyen has been attending the Board meetings since he was appointed CEO of Etex on January 1, 2015. On 27 May, he became a member of the Board in the role of Managing Director.
Etex Announces Executive Changes

Etex announced the appointment of Mel de Vogue as its new CFO. In this role, he will be a member of the building materials group's Executive Committee. The company announced that Mel de Vogue will be succeeding Jean-Pierre Hanin, who currently combines the responsibilities of CFO and Head of Division Siniat. From 1 May, Jean-Pierre will focus exclusively on Siniat, Etex's gypsum division. Mel de Vogue can boast a broad experience in big international industrial groups. He has been the CFO of Belgian chemicals group Tessenderlo since 2009. At Etex, Mel de Vogue will contribute to the strategy execution by leading its Finance function. He will be responsible for Consolidation, Tax, Treasury, Internal Control and Working Capital, and for managing the relationship with the financial institutions. Mel will also head Etex's Shared Service Centres and IT. In his role as CFO, he will join Etex's Executive Committee.
Etex Opens New Plasterboard Plant in Lima, Peru

Etex has opened its new plasterboard plant on the outskirts of Lima in Peru. The company invested EUR 22 million in the factory for Eternit Peru, the construction of which began in May 2014. Eternit Peru has been operating in Lima, the capital of Peru, since 1940. In 1998, the company began commercializing plasterboards, importing them from Chile and Colombia. Totaling EUR 22 million in investment, this factory will produce 12 million square metres of Gyplac plasterboards, every year. Along with its Superboard fibre cement flat sheets, Eternit Peru now ensures the local production of the two main components for dry construction solutions. The new plasterboard production site was built at a strategic crossroads just 39 km from Lima. It covers 20 ha at the Huachipa Este industrial estate.
