Gold's Gym Announces its Plans to Further Expand in the Austin Market

Gold's Gym announced its plans to further expand in the Austin market. The fitness brand, with headquarters based in the Lone Star State, has set a plan in motion to add additional gyms in the Austin area as the city's population continues to grow. These new gyms will join the company's existing 12 Gold's Gym locations in Austin, proving the city is one of its most successful markets to date. The future clubs will be located in northwest Austin, Pflugerville and Round Rock. Gold's Gym Cypress Creek is currently under construction near the intersection of Cypress Creek and Lakeline in northwest Austin and will open later this year. The company has land under contract in Pflugerville and north Round Rock, on which the company will build new facilities with the latest fitness amenities for local residents. Gold's Gym also opens a new set of doors in Downtown Austin at 115 E. 6th Street later this month, just blocks away from its 101 W. 6th Street gym which will close at the end of the year.
Gold's Gym Expands Global Presence with New Deals in Africa and Asia

Gold's Gym announced that it has signed agreements to develop eight new gyms in Morocco, four in Mongolia and four in Jordan. The deals mark the continued expansion of the iconic brand into Africa, and increase its presence in Asia, where Gold's Gym is already known as an international fitness icon. In each country, Gold's Gym partnered with top business minds who will serve as master franchisees. This includes: Faycal Achmoul and Mohammed Rharmili of Morocco, Batmunkh Sengee and Gankhuyag Rentsendorj of Mongolia and Adnan Sa'Ed Mohammad Aburukbeh of Jordan. As is the case with its other master franchisees across the globe, Gold's Gym will combine the power of its brand and successful franchise model with the local market knowledge and expertise of these partners to bring Gold's Gym to new audiences.
Gold's Gym Plans to Open New Gym Locations in Domestic and International Markets

Gold's Gym boasts the opening of 14 new gym locations within key domestic and international markets. Led by the return of the brand to the Greater Cleveland, OH area, Gold's Gym is expanding on both the corporate and franchise sides, domestically and internationally. In addition to the highly anticipated return of the Gold's Gym brand to the Northeast Ohio communities of Akron and Cleveland, first quarter of 2014 saw expansion across established key markets such as Austin and San Antonio, TX and St. Louis, MO. Spring of 2014 will mark another entry into a major market for the brand with two unique gyms set to open in New Orleans, LA. With more than 425 U.S. locations currently in operation and more planned over the next 12-18 months, including new locations in Colorado, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas - domestic growth is expected to continue throughout 2014 and beyond. By the end of this year, the brand expects to have more than 300 locations internationally, spurred by the growth of the Canadian market, and the development of a new Master franchise group in Australia.
