Crayola Announces Management Changes

Crayola named Smith Holland as president and chief executive officer. Holland succeeds Mike Perry, who has led Crayola for six years and was named president of Hallmark Greetings, another company within corporate parent Hallmark. Perry, of Easton, joined Crayola in 2009 after serving as a Hallmark executive. Holland had been Crayola's chief financial officer and executive vice president. He came to Crayola in 2009 from Hallmark Canada, where he was president. Perry's last day with Crayola will be Sept. 24. As president and CEO, Holland has overall responsibility for Crayola's business and will provide strategic direction for the company and brand.

Fashion Angels and Crayola Enter into Licensing Agreement and to Collaborate to Co-Create Innovative Activity and Lifestyle Products Targeted to Tweens

Fashion Angels and Crayola jointly announced that they have entered into a licensing agreement and will collaborate to co-create innovative activity and lifestyle products targeted to tweens. As part of the agreement, Fashion Angels will merge its deep tween expertise with Crayola's creative arts and technology products in a custom Fashion Angels line under the Crayola Creations brand statement. Crayola will continue to innovate, design and manufacture its toy items as part of the combined co-developed portfolio of products. The initial agreement focuses on arts and crafts offerings, but also explores a multitude of lifestyle and other product segments as well.

Lulu Jr. and Crayola Join Forces to Create Book-Making Kits for Kids

Lulu Jr. reported that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Crayola to develop book-making kits for children ages four to 12. The kits will give children tools and inspiration to write stories and bring them to life as full-color hardcover or paperback books that are professionally printed and bound. The kits are designed to nurture children's creativity and help them build self-esteem while strengthening their communication skills. Each book-making kit will come with Crayola markers or colored pencils for the child to use in making their book.
