Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development Corporation reported un-audited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2015. For the nine months, the company reported net income of PHP 397.1 million or PHP 0.082 per basic and diluted share, more than five times higher than the net income of PHP 59.2 million or PHP 0.012 per basic and diluted share posted during the same period of the previous year. Net income for the period was boosted by earnings from South Luzon Thermal Energy Corporation (SLTEC). The jump in net income was largely driven by an increase in generation revenue, which amounted to PHP 1.02 Billion for the nine month period, a 41% increase in revenue from PHP 723 million in the previous period. Contributing to the significant increase in Revenue was the successful operations of Trans-Asia Renewable Energy Corporation (TAREC). The company reported revenue of PHP 1,866.0 million compared to PHP 1,083.8 million, income before income taxes of PHP 588.5 million compared to PHP 116.8 million, net cash flows from operating activities of PHP 770.6 million compared to net cash flows used in operating activities of PHP 1,316.0 million and additions to property and equipment of PHP 783.6 million compared to PHP 3,335.5 million for the last year.
In the third quarter, it posted net income attributable equity holders of the parent company of PHP 20.6 million compared to net loss attributable equity holders of the parent company of PHP 151.7 million, revenue of PHP 610.8 million compared to PHP 249.5 million, income before income taxes of PHP 105.0 million compared to PHP 206.8 million for the last year.
