Actiance Announces Support for IBM Verse and IBM Connections Social Cloud

Actiance announced at IBM ConnectED 2015 the upcoming availability of Vantage for IBM Connections Social Cloud and of supervision, policy control and archiving for IBM Verse. Deploying enterprise social platforms like IBM Verse and IBM Connections Social Cloud can present new challenges for organizations with strict compliance requirements, especially as business critical data moves to the cloud. Monitoring real-time communications, preventing data leaks, enforcing acceptable use policies, and archiving content for eDiscovery all have to be considered for new enterprise social environments before opening the doors to employee use. Vantage has been the governance tool for the IBM Connections Suite since 2011 and IBM Sametime since 2002, empowering organizations to deploy social business and unified communications while protecting brand reputation and confidential information, and mitigating regulatory and legal risk. With the release of Vantage for IBM Connections Social Cloud, organizations will be able to supervise employee communications, capture content intelligently, and easily search and review dynamic social content in one place. Granular policy controls can be implemented across all key components on IBM Connections Social Cloud such as files, blogs, forums, wikis, activities, communities, profiles, calendars, and bookmarks. Content from IBM Connections Social Cloud can also be exported to Alcatraz, the first content-aware TM archive, where communications are preserved in context in an easy-to-view format to make review and eDiscovery faster and less costly. Alcatraz will also archive all the communications of IBM Verse including email, messages and posts. Alcatraz improves how IT, legal and compliance manage archiving and eDiscovery with 10x faster ingestion, search and export than traditional archives. Actiance also allows organizations using IBM Verse to deploy granular policy controls and supervise employee social content such as instant messaging and social updates. Vantage for IBM Connections Social Cloud will be available as on-premises software or as Vantage Cloud software-as-a-service (Saas) in first quarter of 2015. Archiving, supervision and policy controls for IBM Verse will be available later in 2015.

Actiance Announces General Availability of Vantage Cloud

Actiance announced the general availability of Vantage Cloud. Vantage simplifies management and compliance for enterprise communication and collaboration by providing organizations with granular policy control over their communication networks, in some cases drilling down to the feature level to address strict compliance requirements including those set by the SEC, FINRA, IIROC, and FCA. Vantage capabilities are now available in the cloud, initially for Microsoft Office 365, Jive, Salesforce Chatter and public instant messaging channels Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger. Vantage Cloud will support additional channels in the future. With the release of Vantage Cloud, the Actiance Governance Platform is now available entirely as SaaS to help organizations as they move IT to the cloud. Organizations can supervise, capture, defensibly dispose, retain, and review dynamic social content all in one place. They can keep their communications entirely in the cloud, from content creation and compliance to archiving and disposal, all while avoiding having to deploy any hardware or software on premise and project manage upgrades. The Actiance Governance Platform-and Actiance's portfolio of Vantage, Socialite and Alcatraz-provides organizations with a security, compliance and eDiscovery solution that is easy to deploy and manage for all their critical communications. Socialite allows organizations to control, capture, and monitor content and activities posted on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Alcatraz, the first context-awareTM archive, is a cloud-based archive for email and other real-time communication channels that reduces the cost of eDiscovery by displaying dynamic social content in context, and by providing a single pane of glass to review email and all critical business communications. Vantage Cloud is available with the same subscription pricing as the on premise version of Vantage. Existing Vantage customers can move their existing licenses to Vantage Cloud. Customers also have the flexibility to deploy Vantage in a mix of on premise and SaaS for different communication channels.

Actiance Announces General Availability of its Governance Solution for Microsoft Office 365

Actiance announced the general availability of its governance solution for Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange Online and Lync Online. Actiance now allows organizations to capture, monitor, archive and review Exchange Online emails and Lync Online instant messaging. The Actiance Governance Platform helps organizations meet supervisory, recordkeeping and eDiscovery obligations for Office 365 for both Exchange Online and Lync Online. To improve their governance of Office 365, organizations can use Vantage to monitor communications to identify business critical content needing to be retained, and scan for compliance events needing review by a supervisor. They can then archive email and IM in Alcatraz, the first context-aware(TM)cloud archive, a repository for all their critical communications, which reduces the cost of eDiscovery by uniquely displaying dynamic social content in context. Actiance ensures chain of custody through tamper-proof capture and archiving to a WORM-compliant repository.
