IA Clarington Investments Inc. Introduces Two New Funds to Provide Investors with Diversified Growth and Income Opportunities
Dec 29 14
IA Clarington Investments Inc. announced the launch of the IA Clarington Growth and Income Fund and the IA Clarington North American Opportunities Class. The funds are managed by Terry Thib, who has been investing in the often overlooked small and mid-cap space for over 10 years. The IA Clarington Growth and Income Fund will provide investors with an opportunity to achieve long-term capital appreciation and a stable income stream. Along with Terry's selection of North American dividend-paying equities, the Fund will offer further diversification and an element of protection against interest rate volatility through investments in senior loans. The income portion of the Fund is managed by IA Clarington's Jeff Sujitno and will initially invest in the IA Clarington Floating Rate Income Fund. Terry's view is that it is important that investors maintain a disciplined and conservative selection process in the small and mid-cap areas of the market. The IA Clarington North American Opportunities Class will focus on small and mid-cap North American equities where there is a larger opportunity set of securities that can offer superior growth at better valuations. It is being offered as a class of IA Clarington's corporate class structure. These new funds are designed to complement investors' traditional dividend income portfolios, offering the potential for return enhancement and diversification.

IA Clarington Launches New Global Growth & Income Fund
Sep 30 14
IA Clarington Investments Inc. launched the IA Clarington Global Growth & Income Fund. Managed by Radin Capital Partners Inc. of Toronto, led by Brad Radin, Chief Investment Officer and award-winning portfolio manager, along with co-manager Joe Fei, the Fund seeks to provide investors with long-term capital appreciation and a monthly income stream by investing in equity securities and in a combination of income mutual funds. Radin Capital Partners will manage the equity component of the Fund and make the overall asset allocation decisions. The equity portion aims to invest in stable, established and undervalued global companies for growth opportunities. Rather than traditional bonds, the income element of the Fund will invest in either IA Clarington Floating Rate Income Fund or IA Clarington Core Plus Bond Fund, depending on Radin's view of the markets. The ability to switch between the mandates is particularly relevant in the current interest rate environment.
