Rotana Announces Executive Changes

Rotana has announced two key appointments to its executive team in the UAE and Southern Oman. David Prince has been promoted to area vice president – Dubai & Northern Emirates. Prince previously held the position of area general manager for Rotana in Dubai & Northern Emirates. In his capacity as area vice president, Prince will oversee operations of 17 Rotana hotels in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and will be responsible for setting and implementing strategic plans to boost business growth and providing brand support for all hotels, while ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and standards. Second of the two appointments is Christian Baudat, who will step in to Prince’s vacant position. He will take charge as area general manager – Abu Dhabi, Al Ain & Salalah for all Rotana properties there. Baudat joins Rotana with an extensive background in hotel operations, development and management, having spent nearly two decades with Hilton Hotels, mainly in Japan and Switzerland.

Rotana Launches Second Property in Saudi Arabia with the Opening of Five-Star Rosh Rayhaan in Riyadh

Rotana has launched its second property in Saudi Arabia with the opening of the five-star Rosh Rayhaan by Rotana in Riyadh. The hotel offers 236 rooms and suites spread over eight floors ranging from classic rooms to royal suites in addition to the Club Rotana, which is specifically designed to meet the needs of the business traveller. Centrally located on the fashionable Olaya Street, Rosh Rayhaan by Rotana is surrounded by shopping districts and is only a short 20-minute drive from Riyadh International Airport. The hotel offers luxurious restaurants and lounges, each with its own unique style; ensuring guests enjoy an exquisite dining experience. With its multi-functional venues, inclusive of nine meeting rooms and a spacious ballroom, Rosh Rayhaan by Rotana is fully equipped to host events ranging from lavish weddings to major conferences and exhibitions. The hotel's Bodylines Fitness and Wellness Club offers a full range of cardiovascular equipment and a free weight training area as well as sessions with a personal trainer upon request. Additionally, guests may relax and rejuvenate with the available expert massage therapists, sauna and steam rooms.

Rotana Names Elie Saliba as Corporate Vice President – Loyalty

Rotana has promoted Elie Saliba to the role of corporate vice president – loyalty. A 16-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Saliba has been closely associated with Rotana’s loyalty programme – Rotana Rewards – since 2004, first as loyalty programme manager and later assuming the title of director of loyalty and partnerships. In his new role, Saliba will lead the effort to drive member growth for Rotana Rewards and develop long-term loyalty programme plans and strategies to support organisational goals. In addition to overseeing the strategic development and implementation of the loyalty programme, targeted direct mail programmes and other customer retention initiatives, he will be responsible for working alongside key partners to develop and launch targeted campaigns to increase customer satisfaction and improve loyalty.
