Chinese State Companies Eye Merger Plans

According to State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, certain state enterprises are currently in the middle of mergers and acquisitions, and several others are in the pipeline for similar restructuring in the second half of this year. According to the authority, six State companies, including China National Building Materials Group Corporation, China National Materials Group Corporation Ltd., State Nuclear Power Technology Company and China Power Investment Corporation, are under a pilot plan for merger and acquisitions.

SNPTC And CPI Plans For Merger

China Power Investment Corporation (CPI) State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) are planning for a merger, Wang Binghua, Chairman of SNPTC, was quoted by media reports as saying. The new company after the merger would be named State Power Investment Group Corp, China Business News quoted Wang Binghua as saying. The merger plan would be soon released, said the report.
