Bühler AG Announces Executive Changes

Bühler AG has named Stefan Scheiber as its new CEO, succeeding Calvin Grieder. Stefan Scheiber has been working for the company since 1988. In the course of his 25-year career with Buhler, he has headed various sales and production organizations in Kenya, South Africa and Germany, living and working some 15 years abroad. Calvin Grieder will transfer his CEO duties to Stefan Scheiber on July 1, 2016 after successfully holding this position during 15 years. Grieder has also acted as Chairman of the Board of Buhler since 2014 and will retain this position. The succession planning for Stefan Scheiber as CEO of the Grains & Food business is already in progress.
Buhler Announces Collaboration with EPFL

Buhler AG, has collaborated with Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, or EPFL, to find new solutions for climate change and food safety issues. Since March of this year, Buhler operates an Innovation Satellite in the Innovation Park of the EPFL. Peter Bohni, longtime head of Nutrition Solutions at Buhler, heads the Satellite.
Buhler AG Discontinues Production Activities in Madrid Factory

Buhler AG announced that its factory in Madrid can no longer be sustained due to a lack of orders, changed market conditions, and obsolescence of its products. In view of this loss-generating situation, the decision has now been made to discontinue production activities. However, Bühler Madrid will continue its Engineering Competence Center and its Sales & Service organization with almost 100 employees.
