SOE Plans To Sell The Government Stake In Four SOEs

In a recent coordination meeting held by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs with relevant ministries on July 12, 2016 the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry stated that they are planning to sell the government stake in four SOEs to the public and use the proceeds to finance development projects. Preparations are being made in case of four BUMN or SOEs for issuing preemptive rights (HMETD), namely publicly listed companies of Perusahaan Umum Pembangunan Perumahan Nasional (JKSE:KRAS), PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk (JKSE:KRAS), PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (JKSE:WIKA) and PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JKSE:JSMR). Aloysius Kiik Ro, The Deputy Minister for Restructuring and Business Development of the National Development Planning Ministry said said the rights issue of the four state companies will be worth about IDR 14.3 trillion.
