LOT Polish Airlines and Wizz Air to Launch Flights from Lithuania's Palanga Next Spring

LOT Polish Airlines and Hungary's Wizz Air are set to launch flights from the Lithuanian seaside resort of Palanga next March. LOT announced that it would offer direct flights between Palanga and Warsaw six times a week starting March 28. Wizz Air on March 23 will begin to operate two weekly flights between Palanga and London Luton. It will be the Hungarian carrier's first route from the Lithuanian resort. LOT currently operates flights between Vilnius and Warsaw, and Wizz Air offers flights between Vilnius and London. Three airlines currently operate flights from Palanga: SAS, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Latvia's Air Baltic.

Wizz Air announced that it plans to introduce flights from Belgrade to Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden on March 28, 2016. The route will be served twice weekly and will be the company's third line to Germany from Belgrade besides Dortmund and Munich.

Wizz Air announced that it will launch flights from Bucharest to Birmingham in England on May 22. The airline will operate the route twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. The company said earlier it would add an Airbus A321 aircraft to its Romanian fleet in 2016.
