Shazam announced the appointment of Greg Glenday as the company’s new Chief Revenue Officer. Glenday, who will report to CEO Rich Riley, joins Shazam from digital advertising firm Undertone with nearly 20 years of proven experience in the media and advertising technology industries. Based in Shazam’s New York office, Glenday will focus on exponential revenue growth and lead Shazam’s global revenue strategies. Glenday will help Shazam create innovative new ad formats that build on the magic of Shazam’s unique mix of display, audio, visual, and location-based technologies. Destiny Media Technologies, Inc. Expands Commercial License to Shazam Entertainment Limited for Fingerprinting and Meta Data

Destiny Media Technologies Inc. announced that the initial trial license of fingerprinting and meta data to Shazam Entertainment Limited, has been expanded into a full commercial license. Under the new 3 year agreement, Destiny delivers real time fingerprints and meta data to Shazam from tracks on participating labels in the Play MPE® system. To accomplish this quickly and efficiently, Shazam's fingerprint technology was integrated into the Play MPE® infrastructure, so the whole transfer is completely automated. Due to the fact that new tracks in Play MPE® are typically pre-release, automated fingerprint deliveries from Play MPE® are very timely. Further, the Play MPE® integration is a reliable and efficient way to fingerprint large catalogs of fast moving music, automating an otherwise very manual process at both ends of the supply chain.
Mobext and Shazam Sign Global Partnership

Mobext and Mobile Network Group announce the signing of a global partnership between Mobext and Shazam. The deal will provide clients around the world with direct access to best-in-class, innovative marketing technology solutions. The agreement will provide Mobext with priority access to Shazam's product roadmap, sharing and exchanging data for global retargeting and profiling. Shazam will provide Mobext with specific clusters created to deepen the understanding of mobile consumer behavior, as well as access to proprietary music prediction models. In addition, the agreement covers product training and sharing of best practices across all Mobext offices globally, with a particular focus in the US in the LATAM region. The partnership will be led by Mobile Network Group, Shazam's long-term partner for over 5 years in France and Europe. The global partnership grew out of several concrete examples of client success with Havas Group agencies: AXA -- In order to increase awareness and increase application downloads, AXA pushed a TV campaign onto second screens with Shazam and earned 300,000 downloads of their application. To reposition TEX as a textile brand in the hearts of today's consumers, Carrefour extended their TV campaign through Shazam music identification and drove approximately 300,000 interactions: a world record. PEUGEOT, With a TV spot, Shazam recognition and a mobile site, Peugeot launched its Peugeot 108 in an innovative way that delivered 145,000 downloads.
