Growmark Names Bob Rasmus as Executive Director of Grain

Growmark has named Bob Rasmus as the executive director of grain. He will be responsible for providing grain operations leadership, risk management analysis and marketing direction to member cooperatives. Previously serving as the facility planning division manager, Rasmus joined the company in 2011 as grain systems marketing manager. In addition to his duties for the grain segment, he will also oversee the operations of Mid-Co Commodities, AgriVisor and facility planning. Prior to joining Growmark, Rasmus has been employed with the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Honegger's Co and Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).
Growmark Announces Management Changes

Growmark has named Mike Woods as vice president and chief financial officer, effective December 16. The company announced that Woods, who is currently vice president of finance and risk management, is replacing Marshall Bohbrink, who announced his plans to retire in early January 2015.
Woods has over 38 years with company having joined Growmark in 1974 as the potash supply manager in the Crops Division. The company also announced it has appointed Barry Schmidt as region vice president effective November 1, 2014. Schmidt will also serve on the senior management team and support member companies in the northern portion of the central region.

Growmark named Jim Spradlin as its CEO effective 16 September, 2014. Currently the vice president of agronomy for the company, Spradlin is replacing current CEO Jeff Solberg, who has announced he is retiring after 38 years with Growmark. Spradlin joined the company in 1982 and has held numerous positions including administrative director and energy division manager, and in 2008 he was named to his current role. He also currently serves on the board of directors for The Fertilizer Institute.
