Premier Turbines to Close Plant in Neosho

Premier Turbines will close its plant in Neosho, Mo., early 2015, leaving about 80 workers without jobs as its parent company shifts operations to Texas. The company said that both administrative and production jobs will be lost. The plant will close sometime during the first quarter of 2015. The company hopes to offer some jobs at its Dallas operations but is still in negotiations with the United Auto Workers union, which represents some of the plant employees, so a firm agreement has not been reached. Attempts to contact a representative of the union were not successful.
