ProteinSimple Unveils the New Single Analyte Cartridge for Simple Plex
Jan 29 16
ProteinSimple announced an expansion of the Simple Plex immunoassay offering by launching a new single analyte cartridge for the analysis of 72 samples at once. This new cartridge enables Simple Plex users to run 72 samples in an hour with triplicate results. It is powered by R&D Systems® reagents. Simple Plex cartridge-based immunoassays have the same specificity of a single-plex ELISA, only with sub-picogram/ml detection limits, and highly sensitive results at lower sample volumes. Moreover, Simple Plex offers better precision and greater dynamic range at 4-5 logs than traditional ELISAs. While the 16x4 Simple Plex cartridge established the utility of the technology for multi-analyte immunoassay, single-plex users still looked for a high sensitivity ELISA. The new 72x1 cartridge answers that need. The Simple Plex cartridge format completely eliminates the manual washes which lead to poor data quality and inconsistent results associated with standard plate-based ELISAs. In addition, it reduces assay completion time from 8 hours to 1 hour. By using the Simple Plex cartridge on the Ella instrument, the user can have the convenience of a fully automated immunoassay. Operation is rapid, requiring only a few minutes to pipette 25 microliters of sample into the cartridge, followed by a quick barcode scan of the cartridge to start the run, and fully analyzed data in an hour.
ProteinSimple Announces the Launch of Maurice
Jan 26 16
ProteinSimple announced the launch of its advanced capillary electrophoresis system, Maurice™. The new platform is an expansion of iCE product line for imaged capillary electrophoresis for the quantitative analysis of Identity, Purity, and Heterogeneity profiles of bio-pharmaceuticals. Maurice features a cartridge for each application, allowing the researchers to easily swap between applications without clean-up steps or a risk of cross-contamination. It offers a simpler workflow from set-up to data analysis to reduce variability. Simply insert the cartridge, place the samples, press start, and walk away. The new 'Compass for iCE' software simplifies the batch set-up process, system operation and data analysis. Once the batch is complete, the system cleans the cartridge and tweets the user when it is done. The platform includes three systems: Maurice C. for quantitative pI and Charge heterogeneity analysis, Maurice S. for IgG purity analysis by CE-SDS and Maurice that does both applications. Maurice will be unveiled at the WCBP on January 26, 2016 in Washington DC, USA.
ProteinSimple Expands Simple Western Product Platform
Jul 21 14
ProteinSimple announced that it has expanded the Simple Western product platform by launching a kit for the analysis of large proteins using Wes, Sally Sue and Peggy Sue. Now, Simple Western users can analyze proteins as large as 440 kDa while realizing all the benefits of the Simple Western, a fully automated, highly reproducible, truly quantitative assay. The Simple Western eliminates a time-consuming bottleneck in protein research -- the Western blot. Traditional Westerns have real limitations. They require many manual steps, can take up to 24 hours to complete, and the results can be variable. The Simple Western eliminates the hassles of Western blot protocols - no messy gels, no transfer tanks, no blots, no imaging and no manual analysis. Simply load samples, push a button, walk away and come back to fully analyzed, highly consistent data. Until now, the Simple Western could analyze proteins up to 230 kDa in size. Now, with the introduction of the 66-440 kDa Master Kit, the Simple Western can quantify proteins as large as 440 kDa, giving researchers broader protein analysis capabilities with this platform.
