Rodale Inc. Announces Launch of Rodale U

Rodale Inc. announced the launch of Rodale U, the company’s newest digital offering, which features an immersive learning experience for consumers through paid online courses. Each class offering will be presented by one of the company’s portfolio of world-class brands, including Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Prevention, Runner’s World, Bicycling, and the forthcoming Rodale’s Organic Life. Developed in partnership with Thought Industries, Rodale U will provide consumers with a fully integrated program that includes video, text, slideshows, audio, social and instructor interaction, quizzes and workbooks. Courses will be led by in-house experts and editors from the Rodale family of brands. The online course offerings will span across Rodale’s field of expertise, including health, fitness, food, mind-body, relationship, and lifestyle-related categories. The company will introduce 8-10 new courses throughout 2015. The first four offerings scheduled to launch include: 'Lose Your Spare Tire' with Men’s Health (available now); 'Run Your First Marathon' with Runner’s World (available now); 'Bike Maintenance 101' with Bicycling(Mid-March); 'Sugar Smart' with Rodale Books (Mid-April).

Rodale Inc. and Silverline Global announced a strategic partnership to deliver Runner's World branded video content across the SilverLine NOW network. As a part of the new partnership, a new 'Runner's World Channel' will deliver premium running content through SilverLine's ever expanding network of endurance event partners across the United States. The new channel will host video training tips, race previews, inspirational stories and more from the experts at Runner's World. Additionally, SilverLine's event partners will benefit from an affiliate relationship with Rodale's products and services.
Rodale Inc. Appoints Melanie Hansche as Executive Director of Food Content and Strategy

Rodale Inc. has appointed Melanie Hansche to Executive Director of Food Content and Strategy, a new position for the company. Hansche will report to Rodale President Scott Schulman and work out of both Rodale's New York and Emmaus offices, effective immediately. In this role, Hansche-who was most recently the managing editor of one of Australia's most successful and revered food publications, donna hay magazine-will maximize the company's existing food assets and expand food content development for Rodale and its portfolio of world-class brands, including Men's Health, Women's Health, Prevention, Runner's World, Bicycling, and Organic Gardening (which will relaunch as Rodale's Organic Life in Spring 2015), and Rodale's, an e-tail store offering healthy products that nurture happiness, protect nature, and help people around the world. Hansche will also create, develop, and oversee new lines of Rodale-branded food businesses that support the company's core health tenets, including new digital and print offerings, mobile apps, licensed products, food-oriented live events, games, and online food courses.
