T+ink announced it has joined the Kandy real time communications developer ecosystem, and is collaborating with Kandy's innovation team to create 'one touch' digital support solutions starting in the retail industry. Working with systems integration partner Vizicom, T+ink has developed a solution making it possible for consumers to connect with a 'live expert' while in a retail store shopping for high-end products. The consumer simply selects the appropriate product card, touches it to a webpage or application on their smartphone or tablet, and is routed to the product vendor's contact center where a specific expert instantly appears to answer questions. Consumers benefit from immediate assistance from an expert, rather than waiting for a sales person, who likely does not have deep product knowledge, to arrive. The expert will appear on the consumer's smartphone screen (the consumer, however, won't be visible to the expert) - and can share information and push media specific to the consumer's questions, including a brief instructional video demonstrating a product feature. The experience is captured by the brand and shared with the retailer - so the consumer is happier, the retailer wins a sale, and the brand is able to gain valuable information while registering the consumer if the consumer wishes. The brand is able to opt in to providing expert help, which makes the experience more competitive than that of brands who do not provide real-time experts on the platform.
Skywriter MD Selects GENBAND’ Kandy Communications Platform

GENBAND announced that Skywriter MD has selected its Kandy communications platform to help physicians across the country improve the patient care experience. Kandy, which launched in September 2014, is powering Skywriter MD’s revolutionary technology by providing physicians with real time, virtual Electronic Health Record (EHR) assistance services with the ability to see and select an available Skywriter (virtual scribe), on-screen and voice collaboration, client side voice recording and replay, and rich messaging. Skywriter MD is a proprietary, cloud-based software platform that provides access to EHRs without the need for expensive, resource intensive interfaces. Through Skywriter MD’s intuitive onscreen multimedia collaboration services, dedicated teams of centralized, virtual scribes assist multiple physicians across the country with their EHR navigation and documentation needs. These collaboration services are powered by Kandy’s Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), which allow the Skywriters to virtually be at the physician’s side, gathering information for review, documenting the physician’s assessment and plan, enabling verbal clarification, supporting question and answer, and the ability to receive confirmation of completed activities. Physicians can securely screen-share EHRs and speak with certified remote healthcare Skywriters that enter patients’ medical information, including diagnostics and prescriptions.
