The Dreyfus Corporation Launches New Dreyfus Emerging Markets Debt US Dollar Fund

The Dreyfus Corporation has launched the Dreyfus Emerging Markets Debt US Dollar Fund. The fund's objective is to seek to maximize total return by investing in emerging market bonds and other debt instruments denominated in US dollars including debt issued from government, government-related and corporate issuers. The Dreyfus Corporation Launches Three Innovative Multi-Factor Smart Beta Equity Funds

The Dreyfus Corporation announced that it has launched three new mutual funds that seek to improve market exposure by pursuing consistent benchmark outperformance and downside protection potential relative to traditional market-weighted index products. By combining these complementary performance factors into a single transparent investment process, the new mutual funds look to overcome some of the potential pitfalls Mellon Capital believes are inherent in traditional cap weighted approaches and single market factor strategies. The three "Dreyfus Strategic Beta" funds are: Dreyfus Strategic Beta Emerging Markets Equity Fund - Class A (DOFAX), Class C (DOFCX), Class I (DOFIX), Class Y (DOFYX); Dreyfus Strategic Beta Global Equity Fund - Class A (DBGAX), Class C (DBGCX), Class I (DBGIX), Class Y (DBGYX); Dreyfus Strategic Beta U.S. Equity Fund - Class A (DOUAX), Class C (DOUCX), Class I (DOUIX), Class Y (DOUYX).

The Dreyfus Corporation Launches the Dreyfus TOBAM Emerging Markets Fund

The Dreyfus Corporation announced that it has launched the Dreyfus TOBAM Emerging Markets Fund, an actively-managed emerging markets equity mutual fund. TOBAM's patented investment process, which aims to provide an optimal diversification of risk contribution, is designed to enhance an investor's risk/return profile versus traditional capitalization-weighted strategies. Globally recognized for its innovative investment approach, Paris-based TOBAM, the fund's subadviser, seeks to maximize the fund's portfolio diversification in terms of various risk metrics by applying a systematic investment approach. The process tries to identify securities that have the lowest possible correlation to each other for inclusion in the fund's portfolio. The TOBAM patented Anti-Benchmark(R) Maximum Diversification(R) model attempts to construct a portfolio of securities that TOBAM believes offers the most diversification potential and avoids the concentration risk that exists in traditional market capitalization-weighted indices. The fund's portfolio managers focus on stock selection as opposed to making proactive decisions as to country, industry or sector exposure.
