ChemAxon Launches the Connect Module of its Plexus Suite Web Collaboration Platform
Feb 3 15
ChemAxon introduced the Connect module of its web based collaborative discovery platform, Plexus Suite. Plexus Connect is the data connection, search, form viewing and list management functionality of the suite and bundles ChemAxon's capabilities to reach, work and manage data anywhere on corporate or personal databases. Plexus Suite is integrating ChemAxon's 'best of breed' functionality within an easy to deploy, web-based platform enabling users to access, display, search and analyze scientific data. The suite will consist of different modules addressing different aspects of the discovery workflow, all having a central philosophy of simplicity and intuitive use.
ChemAxon Announces the Launch of Biomolecule Toolkit
Jan 15 15
ChemAxon extends the chemistry information space with the launch of Biomolecule Toolkit, a suite of integration tools to enable research scientists to unambiguously represent and query complex biological molecules within their information systems. There are various custom formats for representing biological molecules, but in most cases these are inconsistently precise and rarely interchangeable, and so need manual interpretation which can give ambiguous results. The technology is released ready to support 'your' preferred standard, though the toolkit comes with support for Open HELM and standard biological and chemical file formats, out of the box. Under the hood, the Biomolecule Toolkit extends ChemAxon's JChem chemistry engine with sequence space and alphanumeric annotations used to define complex modalities, and so enable researchers to easily extend their discovery platforms to also interrogate non-standard biomolecules. Currently the toolkit is available for integration within enterprise research informatics platforms but development is underway to bring biomolecule support to ChemAxon's Plexus Suite web collaboration platform and give bench researchers more reach in the scope of projects supported on the platform.
ChemAxon Introduces ChemCurator for Chemical Information Extraction and Markush Structure Creation
Sep 30 14
ChemAxon launches ChemCurator, an application to extract chemical information and generate Markush structures from documents. Markush structures are essential in securing an organizations intellectual property, however generating and understanding Markush structures is a difficult and time-consuming process. Moreover, extracting and understanding chemistry text and images such as exemplified structures within patent documents is an unmet need. Novel productivity aspects: automatic recognition of chemical names and structure images within various document types, drag and drop population and merge of R-group constituents from recognized structures, automatic Markush structure verification through comparison of recognized exemplified structures in (patent) documents, structures and source text are dynamically linked and viewable in a synchronous mode and pre-existing connections with public and commercial patent repositories.
