Vodafone Portugal Wins Contract from Lisbon Municipality

Vodafone Portugal has been awarded a contract for the provision of fixed and mobile services to the City Hall of Lisbon worth EUR 1.5 million. Also in the running were AR Telecom, Meo and Nos. The contract, with a duration of 730 days, includes the services fibre-optic infrastructure for the municipal data network, internet access, fixed voice service, Extranet and SMS.

Vodafone Portugal Reports Revenue Results for the Fourth Quarter Ended March 2017

Vodafone Portugal reported revenue results for the fourth quarter ended March 2017. The company reported 1.7% year-on-year growth in revenues during its fiscal fourth fourth quarter to March. Service revenue rose 2.2% to EUR 226 million, growing for the sixth consecutive quarter.

Nos and Vodafone to Pay EUR 23 Million for USF

National Communications Authority has established that the cost Portugal Telecom sustained for providing the universal fixed telephony service in the period 2012-2013 amounted to EUR 46.7 million. Consequently, the regulator ordered operators Nos and Vodafone Portugal to compensate PT by transferring EUR 13.5 million and EUR 9.9 million, respectively, to the Compensation Fund of the Universal Electronic Communications Service. In addition, the former companies of Altice group, Cabovisao (Nowo) and Oi, will have to transfer EUR 936,000 and EUR 500,000, respectively, to the same fund.
