Amey Receives £250 Million Extension to Waste Water Contract with Severn Trent Water

Amey has been awarded an £250 million extension to its waste water contract with Severn Trent Water. The contract, officially titled the Sewerage Commercial Model (SCM), was originally awarded in 2011 with Amey delivering one of three areas that, in total, stretch across the UK, from midWales to Rutland and from the Bristol Channel to the Humber. From June 1, 2015 Amey will be taking over repair and maintenance of the sewer network across the entire Severn Trent region and the expanded contract will run until March 2021.

Amey plc has been selected to deliver a £235 million contract to provide Environmental and Infrastructure Services for Trafford Council. The contract will run for 15 years, with a potential extension of eight years, and will deliver major savings for the council through innovative service delivery, including a £2.25 million saving in 2015/16. Amey will deliver a wide range of environmental and infrastructure services including commercial and domestic waste collections, street cleaning, grounds maintenance, highways services, bridges, road safety, street lighting and furniture, drainage and property services from July 2015.
