GasLog Ltd. Orders Keppel Shipyard for FSRU Long Lead Items for LNG Carrier Conversion

GasLog Ltd. announces that Keppel Shipyard Limited has begun ordering long lead items required for the conversion of a GasLog or GasLog Partners LP LNG carrier to a floating storage and re-gasification unit. The LLI's include pumps, vaporizers, heat exchangers and low duty compressors, which are vital equipment for the conversion process. The LLI's take approximately 12 months to deliver at a total cost of around $16 million. Ordering the LLI's reduces the time necessary to convert an LNG carrier from between 18-20 months to 6-8 months once the LLI's are delivered.

Keppel Shipyard Ltd Secures Four Contracts Worth of About SGD 120 Million from Repeat Customers

Keppel Shipyard Ltd. has secured four contracts worth a total of about SGD 120 million from repeat customers. The first contract that the company secured is from BW Catcher Limited, for the installation and integration of topside modules for a new build Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. Upon its completion, the FPSO will be deployed to the Catcher Field located in Central North Sea, UK, which is operated by Premier Oil. The second contract is from SOFEC Inc. to fabricate an Internal Turret Mooring System for a Floating Storage and Offloading vessel that will operate in Maersk Oil's Culzean Field in UK's section of the North Sea. Fabrication of the turret is expected to be completed in third quarter of 2017. For the third contract, the company will carry out upgrading work to the pipelay vessel, Castorone, for Saipem Offshore Norway AS (Saipem). The fourth contract is from Woodside Energy Ltd. for the modification and upgrading of the FPSO vessel Ngujima-Yin to support the Greater Enfield Project. The company's job scope includes marine and hull life extension and refurbishment works; installation of new customized water flood module, turret risers and power and control module; as well as modification of swivel system, marine and topside related piping. Detailed engineering phase is expected to commence in July 2016 while the shipyard construction work is targeted to start in second quarter of 2018. Upon its completion, the Woodside-operated Ngujima-Yin FPSO will be deployed back to the Greater Enfield area located in Western Australia.

Keppel Shipyard Ltd Secures Four Contracts Worth SGD 125 Million

Keppel Shipyard Ltd. secured two conversion contracts - the first is for a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Floating Storage Unit (FSU) vessel awarded by Armada Floating Gas Storage Limited; the second is for a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel awarded by Yinson Production (West Africa) Pte Ltd. Work on the LNG FSU conversion for Bumi Armada is scheduled to be completed in third quarter 2016. Upon completion, the LNG FSU vessel will operate at the Delimara LNG Regasification Terminal in Malta. As for the FPSO conversion for Yinson, work is expected to commence in first quarter 2016. The work scope includes modification work, new equipment installation complete with associated piping, electrical and instrumentation systems as well as installation and integration of the FPSO process topsides. Upon completion, the FPSO will be deployed to the Offshore Cape Three Point block located in offshore Ghana.
