Further to the announcement dated 8 October 2012 and last update pertaining to this case in the third quarterly result on 29 November 2013, the Board of Directors of Muhibbah Engineering M Bhd announced that Muhibbah Engineering M Bhd had on 23 December 2013 received a Final Award from the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration – Asia Office pursuant to Muhibbah Engineering M Bhd’s challenge to the Request for Arbitration from UEM Group Berhad. The Arbitration Tribunal in Singapore has declared that they have no jurisdiction to decide the dispute sets out in UEM Group Berhad’s Request and has awarded costs to Muhibbah Engineering M Bhd and UEM Group Berhad is to bear the costs of the Arbitration.
