Grupo Bimbo Reports Earnings Results for the Nine Months of 2016

Grupo Bimbo reported earnings results for the nine months of 2016. The company continue to generate savings and efficiency all across manufacturing and the supply chain. In part of the result of the zero-based budgeting initiative, these includes better use of raw materials and the reductions in waste, increased automation resulting in labor productivity and optimization of primary and secondary distribution expenses with an increase in sales on a route-by-route basis. These factors help reduce pressure at the gross margin level, growing from the impact of the stronger U.S. dollar on some raw materials and kept operating and adjusted EBITDA margin levels above last year on a cumulative basis.
