MTR Corporation Signs HKD 25 Billion Loan Agreement with a Bank Syndication

MTR Corporation has signed a HKD 25 billion loan agreement with a bank syndication. The loan consists of two parts. One is HKD 12.5 billion loan, which will be repaid on June 13, 2019. The other is HKD 12.5 billion, which will be repaid in phases; deadline for repayment will be June 13, 2021.
MTR Corporation Announces Management Changes

MTR Corporation Limited has named Jacob Kam, currently operations director, as managing director for operations and mainland business. The company has announced that Adi Lau, currently deputy director of operating, will succeed Mr. Kam as operations director. Both appointments will take effect from 1 May 2016. In addition, the Corporation has also appointed Ms. Margaret Cheng as Human Resources Director and a member of the Executive Directorate with effect from 1 June 2016. To
strengthen the focus on Hong Kong railway operations and to respond to the business and operational growth in and outside Hong Kong, the Corporation has decided to create the new position of Managing Director - Operations and Mainland Business to extend the leadership bandwidth. With the new appointment, Dr. Kam's portfolio will be expanded to oversee not only MTR's Hong Kong transport operations but also MTR's rail and property businesses in the Mainland. In addition, he will continue to maintain an oversight role on global railway operations standards and ensure mutual learning of best practices among all MTR railway operations globally. Dr. Kam joined the Corporation in 1995 and was appointed Operations Director and a member of the Executive Committee in January 2011. Mr. Lau will oversee railway operations in Hong Kong and will report to Dr. Kam. Mr. Lau joined the Corporation in 1982.
