Agropur Cooperative Announces the Closure of its Saint-Bruno-De-Montarville Plant

Within the context of the reorganization of some of its fluid milk processing activities, Agropur Cooperative has announced the closure of its plant in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville. The official closing date will be in late May of 2016. Agropur is aware of the impact that this closure will have on the 67 permanent and 27 temporary employees at this plant, and will strive to minimize it. Employees who are affected by this decision will be eligible for special programs, including the possibility of applying for equivalent positions at other sites, severance packages and access to the Employee and Family Assistance Program.

She began her career with Cascades as controller. Over a career spanning more than 35 years, she worked her way up and became a management generalist with a strategic focus. After 17 years as President and CEO of Cascades Tissue Group, Suzanne recently passed the torch to her successor and became Senior Vice President of Cascades Inc. She also serves as a special strategic advisor to management and the Board. As a Guest Member, Suzanne Blanchet will bring the Board the benefit of her vast experience in corporate management.
