MARTA Contracts with MTM. Inc. for Eligibility Assessment Services

Seeking a partner to help design a new eligibility process for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paratransit services, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) recently selected MTM, Inc. to operate its eligibility assessment and certification program. Through its fixed route bus, rail, and MARTA Mobility paratransit services, the agency provides more than 430,000 weekday passenger trips. MARTA Mobility is a complementary paratransit service that serves 11,000 individuals who are unable to utilize accessible fixed route public transit due to a physical or cognitive disability or limiting health condition. Under the contract, MTM will leverage its On the Move program to perform paratransit eligibility certifications. Mobility Assessment Evaluators will utilize inperson interviews and functional assessments to evaluate applicants' physical and cognitive abilities, needs, and challenges, as well as their ability to utilize fixed route public transit. This is a change from MARTA Mobility's previous application process, which was paperbased. MARTA expects that the change will ensure an overall positive customer experience for applicants as a result of its Mobility Center becoming a onestop shop for applicants to learn about accessible transportation options. In the first year, MTM anticipates administering assessments for new paratransit applicants, as well as recertifications for existing paratransit passengers. The initial contract term is three years with two one year options.

Eric Reynolds Joins MTM, Inc. as Vice President of Business Development

MTM, Inc. announced that it has hired Eric Reynolds as Vice President of Business Development. In his role, Eric provides executive-level leadership to MTM’s Business Development and Client Services teams. His primary focus includes redefining the strategic sales direction of MTM’s transit and healthcare services, retaining key accounts, and growing with new clients. Eric brings to MTM nearly 17 years of experience in account management and business development leadership. Most recently, he served for six years as the Vice President of Sales, Strategy, and Clinical Services at Change Healthcare, Inc. While with Change Healthcare, he led teams that focused on provider and channel partner market growth, leading to successful partnerships with companies like GE, Cerner, Adventist Health (Florida), and New York Presbyterian. His extensive expertise in healthcare sales management also includes similar past roles at Atlas Development Corporation, MITEM Corporation, and Healtheon/WebMD.
