Vattenfall Announces Earnings Results for the First Quarter Ended March 2015

Vattenfall announced earnings results for the first quarter ended March 2015. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of SEK 45,377 million against SEK 45,912 million a year ago. Underlying operating profit was SEK 7,736 million against SEK 9,075 million a year ago. Operating profit was SEK 8,386 million against SEK 11,832 million a year ago. Profit after tax for the period was SEK 4,987 million against SEK 8,205 million a year ago.

Vattenfall Hired Citi For Sale Of German Assets

Vattenfall GmbH has hired Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) to sell its German assets, two people familiar with the situation said. The sale could raise $3.7 billion. Vattenfall and Citi declined to comment. Asian players might form a consortium to make a bid, one of the sources said.
