Schroders Appoint Ashley Lester as Multi-Asset Research Head

Schroders has appointed Ashley Lester as global head of research within its multi-asset investments and portfolio solutions business. Lester joins in July to take up the newly created role and will report to head of multi-asset investments and portfolio solutions head Nico Marais.
Based in New York, Lester joins from MSCI where he was head of fixed income and multi-asset class research. Prior to MSCI, Lester was head of market research at Morgan Stanley and was an assistant professor of economics at Brown University.
Schroders plc Launches New GAIA BSP Credit Fund

Schroders plc has announced the launch of Schroder GAIA BSP Credit, an externally managed fund on its GAIA platform. The fund is a fundamental credit long-short strategy that applies a bottom-up approach, combining deep credit analysis, sophisticated structuring and active trading to maximise expected returns while limiting downside risk. Investing primarily in global high yield corporate credit with a focus in the US, the fund will aim to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns in both up and down markets and provide investors with an absolute return of 5-7% per annum. With reduced exposure to directional market trends and a lack of correlation to various indices, the fund will be positioned to maximise downside protection and outperform during market selloffs.
Schroders Appoints John Griffiths as Head of Sales & Business Development for UK Institutional Business

Schroders has announced the appointment of John Griffiths as the new head of its GBP 73 billion UK Institutional Sales and Business Development. In the new role, Griffith's primary focus will be Schroders' clients and other key stakeholders, including consultants and professional trustees. Griffiths joined Schroders this month and will be based in London. He was most recently at PIMCO where he was co-head of Northern Europe, predominantly focusing on the development of the business across the UK, Nordic and Benelux Institutional markets.
