Cepsa Reports Earnings and Production Results for the First Quarter of 2017

Cepsa reported earnings and production results for the first quarter of 2017. Adjusted net profit for the first quarter of 2017, eliminating non-recurring items and calculating the change in inventories at replacement cost (clean CCS), amounted to EUR 201 million, significantly higher than the first quarter of 2016 of EUR 106 million. Net profit as per IFRS was EUR 202 million compared to EUR 106 million a year ago. For the quarter, the company’s crude production amounted to 93,400 barrels a day, slightly higher than that of 2016, with a total of 3.7 million barrels sold in the period.

Compania Espanola de Petroleos to Acquire Network of Gas Stations in Spain from Villanueva and Paz Oil for Approximately $271.5 Million

Compania Espanola de Petroleos, S.A.U. (CEPSA) signed an agreement to acquire a network of gas stations located in Madrid, Spain, from Villanueva Gomez SL, a fuel retailing company, and Paz Oil Company Ltd., a downstream company. The transaction is estimated to be valued at approximately $271.51 million. The transaction will enable CEPSA to strengthen its fuel retailing business. The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of National Market and Competition Commission.
