Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Opens New Plant in China

Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile (DPCA) has opened a new plant in China on September 7, 2016. The plant is the fourth assembly plant for the DPCA joint venture and is located in Chengdu in China's southwestern Sichuan province. The plant is part of DPCA's plans to sell 1 million vehicles in China in 2018. The plant will concentrate on the production of sport utility vehicles (SUVs). The new DPCA plant in Chengdu will produce models under the Peugeot, Citroen, and Fengshan brands, primarily focusing on SUV production. The new Peugeot 4008 SUV will be the first model produced at the plant and is scheduled for launch in November. The plant has a capacity to build 300,000 units per annum and is part of the company's 'Push to Pass' strategy to release 20 new launches in China by 2021.

Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobiles Announces Executive Changes, effective August 1, 2016

On 20 June, 2016, the Board of Directors of Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobiles (DPCA) announced appointment of Jean Christophe Marchal as Executive Vice President, effective 1 August 2016. He will replace Jean Mouro, whose next role within the PSA Group will be announced at a later time. In parallel, Su Weibin will replace Qiu Xiandong as General Manager of DPCA, effective as of the same date. Mr. Marchal joined the PSA Group in 2005, working first as Quality Manager for the Citroen C2 and C3 at the Aulnay plant, then in various other positions before heading up a vehicle project in Kaluga, Russia in 2008. From 2012, he served as General Manager of Peugeot Citroen Mitsubishi Russia (PCMA Rus), until being appointed to his current position as Vice President, Production and Supply Chain of DPCA in March 2016.
