NSF International has appointed Kevin Swoffer as Technical Director of its Global Food Safety Division. Additionally, NSF promoted Stephen Cox to Global Managing Director, NSF Agriculture and Grace O'Dwyer to Director of Operations for NSF's Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. With nearly 40 years of experience in the food retail and manufacturing sectors, Swoffer has held a number of senior executive positions, including Head of Technical Services at British Retail Consortium, where he was instrumental in developing the BRC series of standards and the Safe and Local Supplier Approval scheme (SALSA). He has also worked at Nestle UK and Safeway UK in several technical roles, and most recently served as a consultant to a number of global organizations. In his role, working as a member of the NSF Technical Services and Consulting Leadership Group, Swoffer will be responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving services consistent with corporate strategy and meeting the needs of NSF clients. He will provide technical support, advice and guidance to members of NSF teams in the EMEA region.
NSF International Inc. Appoints Gregory Brown to Managing Director of NSF China

NSF International has appointed Mr. Gregory Brown to Managing Director of NSF China, adding to his responsibilities as Global Managing Director for Seafood. Mr. Brown will help NSF International grow its testing, auditing, certification, training and consulting programs, which currently serve more than 6,200 international and local businesses and facilities in China in the areas of food safety and quality, seafood and fishmeal, dietary supplements, consumer products and water distribution and treatment products. As Managing Director of NSF China, Mr. Brown will continue to work in close cooperation with NSF Shanghai Co. Ltd. joint venture partners and expand business relations with international and local authorities and regulators. Mr. Brown is responsible for NSF Shanghai Co. Ltd. and NSF Shanghai Testing Technology Company, which serve as the center of NSF's China operations. Along with expanding the seafood program in China, Brown will help to grow the food processing and retail auditing, water distribution and treatment, food equipment, consumer products and dietary supplement programs.

NSF International has added two members to its global food safety leadership team. David Richardson has been promoted to Vice President of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Serban Teodoresco has been appointed as Global Managing Director of NSF International's Consulting and Technical Group. Both will play key roles in expanding NSF International's food safety and quality services including global food safety certification, food fraud prevention and integrated risk management. Based in Oxford, UK, David Richardson oversees NSF International's food safety business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). His appointment underscores the strategic importance of NSF operations in the region and the continued focus on the development of technical and commercial solutions to anticipate and meet the sector's changing needs. With more than 25 years of strategic, commercial and technical experience in the food safety industry, Richardson has established and developed an international network of offices offering broad-based services for the agri-supply chain. Most recently, he served as Global Managing Director of NSF International Agriculture where he expanded NSF's global agriculture business through organic growth and acquisition. As Vice President for EMEA, Richardson's global experience will help support companies' increasing needs for food safety and quality in the region with NSF's fully integrated technical and certification services. With more than 30 years of food safety, risk management and corporate entrepreneurship experience, Teodoresco has spent his career providing food safety and risk management solutions to companies around the globe. Most recently, he served as President of Preventa Inc., a risk management consulting firm. He also was Vice President Operations at DiverseyLever (Unilever Group) where he led the development of a new risk management group called SafeKey, a branded suite of high-level food safety solutions.
