BOC Aviation announced that it has selected the V2500 engine to power 12 Airbus A320ceo family aircraft orders it recently placed. The V2500 engine is offered through IAE International Aero Engines, an aero engine consortium led by Pratt & Whitney in collaboration with Pratt & Whitney Aero Engines International GmbH, Japanese Aero Engines Corporation and MTU Aero Engines.

International Airlines Group has signed a memorandum of understanding with IAE International Aero Engines AG for V2500 engines. IAE will power 30 A320ceo aircraft for the IAG subsidiary, Vueling Airlines. These aircraft were part of an IAG order announced in August 2013. The IAE V2500 SelectOne engine, which entered into service in October 2008, places a strong emphasis on efficiency because of the incorporation of key technologies such as 3D aerodynamics and the latest in materials and cooling technology.

SaudiGulf Airlines has selected the International Aero Engines (IAE) V2500 engine to power four A320ceo aircraft and has also signed an eight-year V-Services(SM) maintenance service agreement with IAE. SaudiGulf is a new airline based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with headquarters in Dammam and is planning to commence services in 2015. To date, more than 6,000 V2500 engines have been delivered to nearly 200 customers around the world.
