Scott Grimmett has been named CEO of Golub Corp., taking over for Jerry Golub. Grimmett, 57, has led the transformation of Price Chopper to the Market 32 brand. Grimett was named company president in 2015. In his new role, he will be responsible for day-to-day operations and influence the strategic direction of the company. He will report to the board of directors through Neil Golub, who remains executive chairman. Jerry Golub, 57, will be vice chairman of the board, leading a finance committee.

The Golub Corp. announced that Scott Grimmett, who has served as chief operating officer of the Schenectady, New York company since January 2012, has been promoted to president and chief operating officer. Before joining the Golub Corp., Grimmett spent 37 years with Safeway, including nine years as president of its 143-store Denver division.

The job cuts come through layoffs and attrition and include management, field, clerical and administrative support employees.
