Kyivstar Expands 3G Network in 3 Regions

Kyivstar announced that it has expanded the coverage of its 3G network in the Odessa, Mikolayiv and Kherson regions. 3G services have been launched in 50 additional settlements there; the list includes the towns of Bolgrad, Ananyiv, Nova-Dolina, Bilyari, Chormomorsk in the Odessa region, Veliki-Kopani, Radensk, Novotroitske and Vinogradove in the Kherson region, Yuzhnoukrainsk, Bratske, Krive-Ozero and Vradiivka in the Mikolayiv region.

Kyivstar Expands 3G Network in Odessa

Kyivstar has upgraded its 3G network in the Odessa region. The operator started introducing the 3G technology in the region in June 2015, using equipment from Huawei. Demand for the upgrade came from growing traffic as well as the need to prepare to the introduction of LTE.

Kyivstar has expanded the coverage of its 3G network in Western Ukraine. About 50 additional settlements have been covered there; the list includes Volodimir-Volinskiy in the Volin region, Netishin and Dunayivtsi in the Khmelnitskiy region, Zolochiv in the Lviv region, Zbarazh in the Ternopil region and numerous villages.
