Fokker Services B.V. Key Developments

Fokker Signs Contract to Co-Operate with COMAC in Bringing the First Chinese Business Jet to Market

Fokker Services announced it has entered into a contract with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd, COMAC, to convert the ARJ21700 regional jet into a high end business jet. The conversion will be developed by Fokker and COMAC in The Netherlands, while the final conversion and delivery center will be performed at COMAC's manufacturing division, Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Company Ltd. (SAMC) in Shanghai. Converting a regional aircraft into a business jet builds upon Fokker Services long time expertise in similar conversions of regional aircraft such as Fokker F28, F70 and Bombardier CRJ700. Such conversions fit extremely well with Fokker's aircraft expertise which involves more than interior conversion alone. Fokker Services continues to create a reputation for providing very high quality conversions also for ACJ and BBJ aircraft.

Fokker Services a business line of Fokker Technologies and GKN Aerospace announced the official launch of the first ever SkyView Window for a civil jet aircraft. A full-size, demonstrator window, larger than three standard cabin windows, will be on display on the Fokker Services stand, J103, at EBACE in Geneva from the 19th - 21st May 2015. The GKN Aerospace stand at the show will be YO61. Fokker Services will fit the demisting, acrylic, SkyView windows, incorporating the GKN’s patented Crystal Vue II coating, into the passenger cabin of a converted BBJ 737-700 aircraft.
