Fokker Signs Contract to Co-Operate with COMAC in Bringing the First Chinese Business Jet to Market

Fokker Services announced it has entered into a contract with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd, COMAC, to convert the ARJ21700 regional jet into a high end business jet. The conversion will be developed by Fokker and COMAC in The Netherlands, while the final conversion and delivery center will be performed at COMAC's manufacturing division, Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Company Ltd. (SAMC) in Shanghai. Converting a regional aircraft into a business jet builds upon Fokker Services long time expertise in similar conversions of regional aircraft such as Fokker F28, F70 and Bombardier CRJ700. Such conversions fit extremely well with Fokker's aircraft expertise which involves more than interior conversion alone. Fokker Services continues to create a reputation for providing very high quality conversions also for ACJ and BBJ aircraft.
Fokker Services to Supply First SkyView Window for Converted BBJ

Fokker Services a business line of Fokker Technologies and GKN Aerospace announced the official launch of the first ever SkyView Window for a civil jet aircraft. Note: a 1.5 meter-long window will be on display on the Fokker stand at EBACE. The SkyView window, a Fokker STC, will be the certified for the business aviation community and will be offered to Boeing Business Jets owners and operators by Fokker Services. Up to four SkyView windows can be installed on each aircraft. GKN Aerospace will supply the first set of 1.5m long x 0.5m high windows to Fokker Services in December this year - just 7 months after contract award. A full-size, demonstrator window, larger than three standard cabin windows, will be on display on the Fokker Services stand, J103, at EBACE in Geneva from the 19th - 21st May 2015. The GKN Aerospace stand at the show will be YO61. Fokker Services will fit the demisting, acrylic, SkyView windows, incorporating the GKN’s patented Crystal Vue II coating, into the passenger cabin of a converted BBJ 737-700 aircraft. The windows will be designed and manufactured at the GKN Aerospace Luton site, with the first set of windows due to be delivered in December 2015 and the conversion completed and certified by first quarter of 2016.
Fokker Partners with Air Baltic for Introduction of TCAS 7.1 in their Boeing 737 and Bombardier Q400 Fleet

Fokker Services announced that it has received the order from Air Baltic, Latvia for the introduction of TCAS 7.1 modification on their B737 and Q400 fleet. The development of version 7.1 of the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) was initiated by EUROCONTROL and will bring improvements to the reversal logic by detecting situations in which, despite the Resolution Advisories, the aircraft continue to converge vertically.
