SI Group Prepares to Expand in China Despite Defamation Case Ruling
Oct 28 16
SI Group was about to open its second manufacturing plant in China when Frank Bozich became chief executive of the Niskayuna, New York, company. The following year, Bozich added a factory in Jinshan, China, when he engineered the acquisition in SI Group's history with the purchase of Albemarle Corp.'s antioxidants and ibuprofen businesses. Now in his third year leading the 110-year-old, family-owned company, Bozich is preparing to expand SI Group's Jinshan plant, adding capacity to make materials that prevent plastic from oxidizing and aging. The investment will boost SI Group's presence in China beyond the 459 employees who already work in the country.
