docSTAR announced has purchased docSTAR eclipse Enterprise Content Management and Smart AP Automation for 30 users. The solution includes Intelligent Data Capture (IDC), Workflow, Forms and integration suite to be deployed on-premises with Sage 500. Two AP resources process 6,000 invoices a month and add 80 new vendors a month to their list of more than 11,000 already in the system. Although they use a document management tool, it has limited capabilities, leading to a highly manual process. Processing AP invoices is inefficient and labor-intensive, with frequent delays in invoice coding and approval. CBA will implement docSTAR's enterprise content management system with an initial focus on Smart AP Automation to: Reduce redundant coding and data entry; Streamline invoice approval, coding, and matching; Reduce late payments; Provide invoice inquiry self-service capability; Improve vendor setup and management; Reduce field sales time spent processing and managing invoices. CBA also plans to automate manual, paper-based processes in other areas of the company such as Human Resources, Legal, Quality Assurance, and Procurement. Leveraging a document management solution will not only increase efficiencies but will directly support CBA's sustainability initiative to dramatically reduce the one and a half million sheets of paper consumed each and every year.
