KPMG International Announces Executive Changes, Effective March 1, 2015

KPMG International announced that William O'Mara has been appointed as Global Head of Audit, effective March 1. He succeeds Larry Bradley who led the practice since 2013. Mr. O'Mara, a senior audit partner with KPMG LLP, the U.S. member firm of KPMG International, has extensive international experience having served as KPMG Global Lead Partner for several of the U.S. firm's multinational clients, as well as previously holding senior executive roles in the financial services and industrial sectors. He has also served a term on the Board of Directors of KPMG LLP (US). Mr. O'Mara will serve on the KPMG Global Management Team under KPMG International Chairman John B. Veihmeyer. Mr. Bradley is assuming responsibilities as the Global Lead Partner for one of KPMG LLP's (US) industrial audit clients.

KPMG Announces Executive Changes

KPMG announced that it has appointed David Burlison as global head of Restructuring and Mark Firmin as UK head of Restructuring. Burlison has been appointed to replace Philip Davidson, who has taken up the position of KPMG International chief operating officer, while Firmin takes over from Richard Fleming's role as UK head of Restructuring. Fleming primarily serves as KPMG's UK Head of Advisory. He joined KPMG in the UAE to establish a permanent restructuring practice and for the last two years, he has acted as principal in several multi-billion dollar restructurings, as well as co-managing a significant investment fund. Burlison has returned to the UK, where his new role will be combined with leading the development of the firm's company-side restructuring practice in the UK, which encompasses KPMG's debtor financial restructuring capability, chief restructuring officer offering and distressed debt advisory function. Firmin was promoted to partner in the KPMG's Leeds office in 2006. He took over from Fleming as KPMG's Northern head of Restructuring in 2009 and was then appointed as head of Restructuring for KPMG's regional businesses just under two years ago.
