KPMG International announced Tim Zanni has been appointed the new Global and U.S. Chair of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) industry practice, effective 1 January 2017. Concurrently, Zanni has been appointed Global and U.S. Sector Head of the Technology practice within TMT. Based in Silicon Valley (California, U.S.), Zanni succeeds Gary Matuszak who is retiring after 14 years of service in technology leadership roles at KPMG in the U.S. including serving as the Global Chairman of the TMT practice for the past 12 years. Zanni will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the TMT practice in KPMG member firms around the world. He has more than 30 years of global experience in client services as well as managing various KPMG lines of business. Zanni joined KPMG in the U.S. in 1988, was admitted to the partnership in 1997, and became Silicon Valley managing partner in 2009, the role he has held for the past seven years.

KPMG International has announced Regina Mayor as the new Global Sector Head of the Energy and Natural Resources (ENR) practice, effective 1 October 2016. Mayor, who is based in the Houston, Texas office, joined KPMG in the US in 2006 and has more than 25 years' experience in delivering large scale business and technology changes to major oil companies around the world. Mayor has played a significant role in the growth of KPMG's ENR practice and has been part of the ENR Leadership Team for a number of years as the U.S. National Sector Leader for ENR and Chemicals and the Americas Oil and Gas Leader. Mayor will continue to hold the US National Sector role.
