Poste Italiane S.p.A. reported consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2014. For the year, the company reported total revenue of EUR 28,512 million compared to EUR 26,268 million a year ago. Operating profit was EUR 691.008 million compared to EUR 1,400 million a year ago. Profit before tax was EUR 696.724 million compared to EUR 1,528 million a year ago. Profit attributable to the owners of the parent of EUR 211.975 million or EUR 0.162 per basic and diluted share compared to EUR 1,004 million or EUR 0.769 per basic and diluted share a year ago. Net cash flow used in operating activities was EUR 78.891 million compared to EUR 758.191 million a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was EUR 219.573 million compared to EUR 261.051 million a year ago. State-held Poste Italiane S.p.A. will list shares on the market by the end of 2015, probably in the autumn. Poste Italiane is valued at between €6 billion and €11 billion, Italian daily Il Messaggero reported on Saturday, quoting sources close to the matter. Italy's economy minister Pier Carlo Padoan, Poste Italiane's Chief Executive Francesco Caio, the new Chief Financial Officer, Luigi Ferraris and legal advisers Lazard and Rothschild met to discuss the upcoming initial public offering (IPO), according to Il Messaggero. The managers and officials discussed the timing of the listing and the range of the price.
